I, John Adams was Born February 22, 1732 - Died December 14, 1799. I, John Adams wrote letters and papers which provide a vivid account of his life and the event that led to the founding of the United States.
It is important, we, the colonies of America, should declare war on Britain because we need power, freedom, taxation. We, the colonies need more power so we can make are own laws, rules, and punishments and have our own government too.In May of 1776, he offered a resolution was the amounted to a declaration of independence from Gr. Britain. He was shortly thereafter a fierce advocate for the Declaration drafted by Thomas Jefferson. As the colonies of america we deserved to have our own freedom, we have been treated unfair unlike other people. There are rebel slaves were given to loyalist slave owners or shipped to English slave properties in the Caribbean or, for that matter, sent back to their rebel owners when they proved of little or no value to the British. My name is Francis Marion. We Americans have authority to go to war because the British don't just get to come and claim what's not theirs. So we the people of South Carolina protest the land we have taken care of, should be fought for, I say go to war with Britain giving us independence, no taxes, and our own rights. Without British control, Americans will be independent and do things the way we want to do them without the authority of the redcoats. We will be able to run our own governments and make our own laws to follow “By midsummer 1780, the American Revolutionary war caused the southern colonies close to ruin”(Effects on the early war, 1775). Having no British taxes, Americans will be able to fund their own army and not the redcoats who don't even take part in defending us from indians. We will have enough money to provide our families and not spend extra on the goods we buy every day”During the first years of the war, Marion participated in most of the major campaigns in South Carolina and Georgia”(Marion defends the South, 1779). Separating from the British Church, will let us practice our own religion without the redcoats interfering. We are better off without the England church and its forcefulness of religion. ”Come on Boys! Let us go back … as for this damned old fox, the Devil himself could not catch him, said one of the British commanders”(Marion makes himself known to the British, 1781). In order to gain independence, have no taxes, and be privileged with our own rights we the colonists need to put an end to this british control.

Crispus Attucks- I have the right to speak about this because I was the first person to die in the Boston massacre. I am a symbol of the rebellion in the colonies in this event. It is very important that,we, the colonists should go to war with Britain for three reasons;The Boston Massacre, justice, and rights.Firstly, The redcoats are murderers, and that is all there is to it. Me and the other civilians were unarmed and we were shot by many redcoats which had many had guns. They did not have to murder us! “Crispus Attucks has been immortalized as the first casualty of the American Revolutionary War and the first African American hero. He was in the front line of a group 50 patriots defying British troops when suddenly shots were fired. Crispus was the first person shot and killed with two bullets in the chest in the historic event that became known as The Boston Massacre. Four men died and six were wounded. As an African American patriot Crispus Attucks represents the 5,000 African American soldiers who fought for an independent America.”This is a reason why we should go to war with the British. Even after the Massacre, the Redcoats got special treatment. After they murdered my fellow protesters the redcoats were only branded on their thumbs! That is not acceptable! If we would have been the one to kill them then we would have been executed without question! “Adams, who became the second American president, defended the soldiers in court against the charge of murder. Building on eyewitness testimony that Attucks had struck the first blow, Adams described him as the self-appointed leader of "the dreadful carnage." In Adams' closing argument, Attucks became larger than life, with "hardiness enough to fall in upon them, and with one hand took hold of a bayonet, and with the other knocked the man down." The officer in charge and five of his men were acquitted, which further inflamed the public.”We as Americans have right to do what it necessary in life. All of the mob and I were doing was freedom of speech! “The debate notwithstanding, Attucks, immortalized as "the first to defy, the first to die," has been lauded as a true martyr, "the first to pour out his blood as a precious libation on the altar of a people's rights." In conclusion, we should go to to war with those horrible British fools for the reasons above which are the Boston massacre, justice, and rights. If they want to do those things and think they could get away with it then they have another thing coming.

I Robert Livingston have the right to say we should got to war or not to go to war because I was a lawyer before serving as a politician, diplomat and chancellor for the state of New York. I was one of the Founding Fathers of the United States, I helped draft the Declaration of Independence and administered the presidential oath of office to George Washington in 1789. It is important that we, the colonist should declare war on the kingdom of Britain because of taxation, control and freedom. There are good and bad things about giving taxes the taxes pay for our military but it can make good people go poor and starve. So we believe that the king should either lower or get rid of taxes (Early Political Career, 1777). England should also not have control over the colonies. He should not be able to control our everyday lives. We should be able to do what we want and not have to follow the rules of the kingdom of Britain. Letting us have control of our lives will lead to letting us have freedom and that will make our lives and their lives a lot easier and more happy (Cautious Patriot, 1775). If we do not have freedom, we would not be able to live our lives the way we want to we will have to follow the kings rules and he will control our lives. We should not have to be born into a job we should be able to choose so we should be able to have freedom born England. When we are born into a job we might not do good in that job because we might not want to do that job so we will not do good, but if we are able to choose our jobs we will do better in that job.(New Constitution and After, 1781 to 1783). We think it is important that we go to war with the kingdom of Britain because of taxation, control and freedom.
Benjamin Rush was a regular writer, founding father, and a signer of the declaration of independence. He was disappointed with the government. We the people should rebel against the government for Taxation, SlaveTrade, and the laws!

John Andrews has a right to speak about going to war because he was a Seventh-day Adventist minister, the first official Seventh-day Adventist missionary, writer, editor, and scholar. The colonists should go to war for three reasons, for freedom, control over government, and taxation. For instance, having control over the government and choosing the king is important because choosing our own king helps us create our own laws and have a Democracy. According to the Declaration of Independence, “Whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.” However, other reasons include the fact us colonists have no freedom and our natural rights are not well taken into account. According to the Declaration of Independence, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” Also, having control over taxes is important because there are good and bad things about giving taxes. The taxes pay for our military but it can make good people go poor and starve. So we believe that the king should either lower or get rid of taxes. On November 1, 1765, the British Parliament, imposed a direct tax on the American Colonies. This tax was to be paid directly to King George III. Under the British Stamp Act, all printed materials were required to carry a revenue stamp. The colonists, in opposition to King and Parliament, convened the Stamp Act Congress in New York City on October 19, 1765.
It is important we the American colonists should go to war with the British, because of trading, freedom and taxation. John Hancock came into direct conflict with the British in 1768 one of his ships, the Liberty, was seized in Boston Harbor by British customs officials who claimed, John Hancock had illegally unloaded cargo without paying the required taxes.
We the Patriots do not like the way the British are treating us, we get taxed heavily and were getting treated in hard conditions and we patriots want freedom and want to pursue our dreams. In the army of the united states, raised for the defense of american liberty, and for repelling every hotfile invasion thereof. you are there for carefully diligently to discharge the duty of Man geniah, by doing and performing all manner of things thereunto belonging. And we do strictly change and require all officers and soldiers under your command, to be obedient to your orders as man geniah, and you are to observe and follow such orders and directions from time to time, as you shall receive from this or future congress of the united states, or committee of congress, for that purpose appointed, or commander in chief for the time being of the army of the united states or any other your superior officer, according to the rules and discipline of war, in pursuance of the trust reposed in you. This commission continue in force until revoked by this or future congress dated at Philadelphia May 2, 1777.
The British were taxing colonists, because of the French and Indian war. The King and Parliament believed they had the right to overtax the colonies. They taxed the colonies by making acts, the acts were called, The Declaratory Acts, The Townshend Act, the Stamp acts, The Currency acts and The Quartering act.
We colonists should go to war because of the British, we are being taxed without representation. The British thought of overtaxing their own people, because of the French and Indian war, the British had to pay for the war debts.

We should go to war with the British Colonist because of taxation, privacy, and freedom. Paul Revere fought against slavery, fought for freedom, and taxation. Paul Revere fought against slavery for the people to have their freedom. Paul Revere wrote the Midnight Ride to go against the slavery. To prove that the British had fired the first shot at Lexington green, the congress solicited depositions from eyewitnesses in 1775. In his deposition, revere explains how he received instructions from Dr. Joseph warren to ride to Lexington to warn Samuel Adams and John Hancock that English troops were marching west and how he secured a horse in Charleston, avoided British officers near Charleston common, and reached Lexington. In 1765 the British imposed an internal direct tax on its colonies, the Stamp Act of 1765. This tax was never collected and was intended to cover the cost of the British troops after the French Indian War (1756-1763). American colonists. In March, 1765, the British Parliament passed the Stamp Act. It was a tax on newspapers and other printed matter. The colonists thought these taxes were unfair because the colonies did not have a representative or voice in the British Parliament when these laws were passed. This led the colonists to demand "no taxation without representation. The reaction of the colony was abrupt and immediate; they resented taxation without parliamentary representation. Patriots were angry about getting taxed by the British. The British were taxing colonist because of the French and Indian war Britain needed money to pay for the war. He went back to work as a silversmith. Paul made large bells for church steeples. He sold playing cards, sealing wax, wallpaper, and cloth. He made parts for ships, including copper sheets to cover the bottom of American warships. In conclusion, Paul Revere was the person who engraved the Boston Massacre. He was in the Army but was later fired because he didn't listen to his orders.

We came to the New World for freedom, and the redcoats came in and took our power away from the people. We also must go to war to fight back for the time of suffering we have taken from the redcoats tyranny over the colonies. “I am more and more convinced that Man is a dangerous creature, and that power whether vested in many or a few is ever grasping, and like the grave cries give, give”(letter written by Abigail Adams, 1775). The redcoats arrived and took power as if they were the rulers of the colonies even though they have no right to do so. The colonists not only need to fight for freedom from Britain, but we also need to fight for women’s rights. “Do not put such unlimited power into the hands of husbands. Remember all men would be tyrants if they could”(Abigail Adams letter, 1776). Women are treated poorly and don’t have the respect and rights we deserve to have. In conclusion, all of the colonies should come together and go to war with Britain so that the issues of freedom, tyranny and rights will be taken care of.

I, Benjamin Franklin, was born on January 17, 1706 in Boston Massachusetts. I was the 15th child and the last son to be born of my parents, Josiah and Abiah Franklin. Due to my family’s poverty, I was only able to attend one year of school, from which I became an apprentice to my older brother at a printing shop. I became a very skilled writer and printer for the Pennsylvania Gazette, at which I wrote articles on different and important matters, such as my “Join or Die” cartoon. I later became a spy for the colonies, which is where I spied on parliament in England and studied their activities. Then the war started...
We should go to war against the British and the King of England because of justice, taxes and quartering. As written in the Declaration of Independence, “He has obstructed the Administration of Justice, by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary powers.” We deserve to be free of his obstruction and should be able to establish Judiciary powers. Another quote from the Declaration of Independence explained, “He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation, for imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:” Without having a say in anything they do, but still have to pay taxes to them without agreement, should be stopped.And yet another quote stated was,“He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures, For Quartering large bodies of armed troops among us:” Why should we have to support shelter and food for people against us just because they are soldiers.To conclude, we the people of the colonies should go to war against Britain, so we can stop paying taxes and quartering their armed troops, but to also claim justice and freedom.

Betsy Ross (Kailee Madewell)
Betsy Ross’s first husband was part of the Pennsylvania Militia and was severely injured due to an unintended explosive device, Betsy tried to nurse him back to his health, but he unfortunately died. Betsy was friends with George Washington, who was a Soldier and Colonel in the war, and also fought against the French and captured their Fort.

Second, we should not be part of the Revolutionary War considering, God believes we should not be violent with other people. “Quakers also believe God says people should be valued equally and are against harming or threatening anyone”(BBC Religions). The Revolutionary War involves violence to one another, which Quakers will not stand for. The third reason war is not the answer is for the sake of our loved-ones being killed or injured in the Revolutionary War. War is never the answer, many loved-ones could die or have died. For example, “Betsy Ross’s husband was in the militia, he unfortunately was killed by an explosive device”(Affidavits, Rachel Fletcher). We do not want this to happen to our people anymore, so we should stand against war. Those of you who may not know Betsy Ross, she is famously known for making the American Flag. She was born into a quaker family. Her father had introduced her into upholstery. She had instantly fell in love with it. In 1773, she had met her first husband while working in upholstery, John Ross. Since John Ross was anglican, Betsy and John had moved away in order to marry. Unfortunately, he was killed by a bomb while in the Pennsylvania Militia. Betsy Ross had then found another husband in 1777, Joseph Ashburn, a sea captain. Betsy and Joseph had two children, Zilah, who died a few years after birth, and Elizabeth. Her second husband had then died from being imprisoned in Britain. Betsy had then decided to marry for the final time to John Claypoole. They had five children, but sadly, one died at around nine months. John Claypoole died in 1817 from heart issues. Betsy decided to marry no more. Betsy had seven kids altogether, but only five survived. She continued to work in upholstery until 1827. She had then died in 1836 at the age of 84 as a quaker once again. In conclusion, God believes we need peace and love in life, not war and violence. The credibility which allows me to talk about us going to war against the British is how I am a government official and a military leader.
It is necessary for us, the colonies, go to war with the British because of Freedom, Taxation and Control. Right now, we only have a little amount of freedom, if we defeat the King of England, we would take back the freedom the King took away from the colonists. For example, if we defeat the King, we would be able to go places we were not aloud to before when the King was in control. While we are working very hard, the king is charging us taxes while we can hardly pay them. On top of the taxes we pay, we get nothing from it. The king has most of the control right now over us but if we go to war against the British, we could take the control the king has. In conclusion, it would be in our greatest benefit to unite all of the colonies and go to war with the British because of Freedom, Taxes and Control.

The Colonists need to go to war with Britain. My name is Joseph Warren and throughout my career as a doctor, I have seen many things and observed many people. Politics has taught me a lot about what events are currently happening and this is what influenced my decision on going to war.
It is of great importance that we, the Colonists, go to war with Great Britain because of uprising acts, Freedom, and Taxes.
According to the Parliament, repealed by the Stamp Act, in 1766, ”The act was vehemently denounced in the colonies by those it most affected: businessmen, merchants, journalists, lawyers, and other powerful persons. Among these were...Joseph Warren”First off, these acts were becoming increasingly invigorating, but this is the worst one by far. Yes, indeed i am talking about the abhorred Stamp Act. It declares that Tax will include anything that involves paper. The tax will supposedly go to our military defenses. The act also states that any paper products being sent either by ship or mail, will require the kings official stamp. This act is a huge waste of money and is setting up more angry colonists for war.

Nathan Hale is a captain of the Connecticut army and a volunteered spy, also a patriot.

Thomas Jefferson: raised as a farmer on a plantation under the ownership of his father, as he grew older, he became a extremely talented writer and lawyer. Then later became part of “Against Britain” committee, Committee of Five.
We, the colonists, should go to war against Britain and their king because of freedom, taxation, and tyranny. First of all, we came to this land for freedom and live our lives, not to be ruled by a king. The king controlling us, means there was no reason to move to the new land, resulting with us losing our freedom. Then a group, Committee of Five, was developed to come up, and write a statement to the king for why the colonists wanted freedom and independence. Currently, Britain is taxing the colonists because the king will benefit from them. Jefferson himself stats, "Would it not be better to simplify the system of taxation rather than to spread it over such a variety of subjects and pass the money through so many new hands?" The Declaration of Independence is against taxes with the line “For imposing taxes on us without our consent.” Finally, with the king controlling our land, he and his people have done horrible, unfair actions to our colonists, and our people. Through the kings acts of tyranny, he was able to take our charters, legislatures, ruin our cities, and kill our own. The Boston Massacre

I, Benjamin Franklin, was born in Boston, Massachusetts on January 16, 1706. I started the first lending library. I helped draft the Declaration of Independence and the U.S Constitution, and I negotiated the 1783 Treaty of Paris, which marked the end of the Revolutionary War.
We should go to war because of justice, conflict, and ownership. “On my way there, I saw the people in great commotion and heard them use the most cruel and horrid threats against the troops. In a few minutes after I reached the guard, about 100 people passed it and went towards the custom house where the king's money is lodged. They immediately surrounded the sentry posted there, and with clubs and other weapons threatened to execute their vengeance on him. I was soon informed by a townsman their”(HistoryWiz, 1999-2008, Excerpt from the report of Captain Thomas Preston). The Boston Massacre was all started because of a teenage boy, but little did he know this one incident would be the spark of the Revolutionary War. “Thus were we, in aggravation of our other embarrassments, embarrassed with troops, forced upon us contrary to our inclination-contrary to the spirit of Magna Charta-contrary to the very letter of the Bill of Rights, in which it is declared, that the raising or keeping a standing army within the kingdom in time of peace, unless it be with the consent of parliament, is against law, and without the desire of the civil magistrates, to aid whom was the pretence for sending the troops hither; who were quartered in the town in direct violation of an act of parliament for quartering troops in America; and all this in consequence of the representations of the said Commissioners and the said Governor, as appears by their memorials and letters lately published” (A Short Narrative of the Horrid Massacre in Boston, printed by Order of the Town of Boston, re-published with notes and illustrations by John Doggett Jr.(New York, 1849), Samuel Adams is believed to have had a role in writing the document.) The british had no right to fire. A dumb teenage boy was taunting them. This does not give them the right to kill colonists. The colonists and the British both messed up, the British fired into an unarmed crowd, and the colonists provoked them to do it. It was not anybody’s fault, but the situation could have been prevented. The teenager knew better than to mess with the redcoats and the redcoats knew better than to fire into a crowd of unarmed colonists. Now this whole incident is going to cause war. War for the colonists to be able to fight back to the redcoats. [awkward sentence structure please revise] To defend themselves and to own themselves, and not be owned by the King. Overall, The Boston Massacre changed our union forever. It showed the Colonists and the British what matters and what needs to be changed. They both want to be away from each other, to end this, to go to war.

John Paul Jones, has the right to speak against the war, because he must provide for himself, John Paul Jones, may agree with the american soldiers but, he is still British.

John Paul Jones was against the control the king had, because he did not like the king was keeping the american soldiers as hostages. “He took on a larger mission which involved trying to establish rights as prisoners of war for captured American sailors. I have founded the first Fire Insurance company, and being an inventor of many things such as the Lightning rod and the glass harmonica. I am a married to Deborah Read.
Because of the unfair rules of this king, we our being forced to go to war with the British Kingdom, because of his unfair taxation, control and our freedom. During this difficult time we, the colonists, must stand together as one and compose a new way to rule our colonies. When we are together we must never take security over freedom. Right now, Going to war is a very crucial point, because “Those who surrender freedom for security will not have, nor do they deserve, either one.” Getting rid of the king will not just ensure our freedom in the nation, but also a sense of no Taxation without Representation.. Because of some of the unemployment in our community, those people are not able to pay the unnecessary taxes that George is giving us and are being forced out of town. “Idleness and Pride Tax with a heavier Hand than Kings and Parliaments. If we can eliminate rid of the former, we may easily bear the Latter. We must stand together and take out the British country so all of the people in the colonies can have a home and a job. My last reason would be that King George’s behavior is spiraling out of control. He needs to leave the society, because we need more liberty to do what we want. “[I]t is a common observation here that our cause is the cause of all mankind, and that we are fighting for their liberty in defending our own.”. The Revolutionary War has brought on such controversy as to whether or not the Colonists have a chance of winning the war against their home country, Britain. The Virginia Gazette had the opportunity to talk to a man in the midst of all the decision making, James Monroe.
James Monroe was an undergrad at William and Mary College who studied law since he was 15. When the war started, Monroe enlisted in the war and left school. Monroe has served under Washington’s command as a well valued intelligence officer. He is currently recovering from bullet wound that occurred last December at the battle of Trenton..
“It is vital the American colonies rebel against the british because of taxation, control, and freedom. The king’s taxes should give the people benefits such as better roads and more protection. For example, the Stamp Act required colonists to pay taxes straight to England, but the king gave them nothing in return for their tributes. The official Stamp Act pamphlet quotes, “An act for granting and applying certain stamp duties, and other duties in the British colonies and plantations of America, towards further defraying the expenses of defending, protecting, and fecuring the fame….” The text shows the purpose of the tax was to raise money for England without the approval of the colonial legislatures. If the colonies let the tax pass and show no resistance, it will give the king the opportunity to continue taxing the colonists without the people’s consent. The colonies need a new leader, King George III deprives the colonists of the right to a fair say in what goes on in the government. Why should the colonies be ruled by an unjust king, hundreds of miles away when they can have leaders such as George Washington or Thomas Jefferson. I have had the opportunity to meet and consult with Thomas Jefferson, governor of Virginia, and fight alongside General George Washington as an intelligence officer. Most importantly, the colonists have lost their sense of security and freedom with the king’s recent commands. The colonists understand the king has been stubborn in compromising with their way of ruling, but they also see America has done well of being on our own. Benjamin Franklin, a man of which I am yet to meet, published the sketch of a broken snake, each piece representing one of the colonies. On the top of the drawing was the phrase, ‘Join or Die.’ Mr. Franklin demonstrates it is absolutely necessary the colonies join forces to win back their freedom, for without every colony on the patriots’ side, the colonies will crumble into pieces landing in the palms of the British king. In conclusion, King George does not support or meet the needs of the American colonists; it is time for them to break away from England and become a country of their own..”

I, Samuel Adams, a founding father of the colonies. It is necessary we, the colonies come together and go to war with Britain because of organization, taxation, and freedom. We should go to war because organization. I also played a role in organizing the Boston Tea Party. Later on I found out Bostons committee of correspondence, he found out that there towns nationwide are a powerful tool for the Revolutionary War. We should go to war because of taxation. Theres no taxation without representation because the colonists were not represented in Parliament. We protest for the taxes because we gathered to send the letter to King George. We should go to war because of freedom. Freedom is really important because people want to be who they want to be. People wanted to live their lives the way they want to. Without freedom or rules everything would be ridiculous. It is necessary, we, the colonies come together and go to war with Britain because of organization, taxation, and freedom. Organization is important because there was towns that were a powerful tool for the revolutionary war. Taxation is also important because theres no taxation without representation. Last, freedom is what all people want, they want to be able to be who they want to be instead of being controlled but you still have rules. The Boston Massacre was British soldiers firing at a mob, 5 citizens were dead because of people firing at the mob. the captain of the troops was Thomas Preston.

I am Thomas Paine and I am a very well known political activist and revolutionary. I have the right to speak and represent the colonists because I am very educated in this matter. I have written “Common Sense” a very popular pamphlet.
We need to revolt against the British because of unfair taxation, control, and our right to freedom. The British should not be allowed to tax us so they can pay their country's taxes. We are not living in their country so why should we have to help fund them by paying ridiculous taxes? We should fight back and show them that we want Independence! It is not fair to tax us and make us buy stamps to send letters to our friends and families because we are not part of their country. Since we treat them with respect, why do they treat us like slaves? Furthermore, we do not follow the king so why should we be contained to his laws? Having the British army patrol our colonies is completely ridiculous because we are not part of Britain. Lastly, I am going to talk about one of the conflicts going on that troubles me the most. Freedom, I am sick and tired of having to abade to laws that are pertained, or meant for the British citizens. I should be able to walk to work without seeing a redcoat every block “patrolling” the area. The British act as if they give us freedom, but the meaning of freedom is to act, speak, or do as one wants. We do not have any of those rights. For example, if I don’t like something about the king, and I speak my mind about it in public I have a chance of becoming jailed. In addition, the British have codes on how I should act and perform tasks. We want democracy, not tyranny; in our colonies Law is our King. To conclude, We the colonies, need to act against this unlawful behavior of Britain, and stand up for our rights and freedom.

Patrick Henry was a lawyer who joins the house of Burgesses and later joins the Sons of Liberty to help end the stamp act. He is a patriot who strongly believes in the freedom of the colonies who has written many speeches such as his famous speech “Give me Liberty or Give me Death”. The colonies of the New World should declare independence from the pigheaded buffoon and his glorious empire because of taxation, privacy, and freedom.Taxation has been increasing at unrealistic rates lately. This must stop now, we can no longer afford to pay these taxes for we are soon to be bled dry of every last pent. If independence is declared the British crown will have no position here along with their wretched taxes. The independence of our colonies will end the quartering, currency, sugar, stamp, and Townshend acts. Sugar, coffee, indigo, textiles, wine, paper, and government documents will no longer be the source of King George III’s wealth.The quartering acts have been quite the burden on us lately. The young child’s toy soldiers have audacity to invade our homes seeking a free meal and a warm bed to snore the night away in our vary chambers. Patrick Henry was a lawyer who joins the house of Burgesses and later joins the Sons of Liberty to help end the stamp act. He is a patriot who strongly believes in the freedom of the colonies who has written many speeches such as his famous speech “Give me Liberty or Give me Death”. The colonies of the New World should declare independence from the pigheaded buffoon and his glorious empire because of taxation, privacy, and freedom.Taxation has been increasing at unrealistic rates lately. This must stop now, we can no longer afford to pay these taxes for we are soon to be bled dry of every last pent. If independence is declared the British crown will have no position here along with their wretched taxes. The independence of our colonies will end the quartering, currency, sugar, stamp, and Townshend acts. Sugar, coffee, indigo, textiles, wine, paper, and government documents will no longer be the source of King George III’s wealth.The quartering acts have been quite the burden on us lately. The young child’s toy soldiers have audacity to invade our homes seeking a free meal and a warm bed to snore the night away in our vary chambers. I am Ethan Allen, born January 21st, 1738 in Litchfield, Connecticut. I have gathered together a group of men in southwestern Vermont. This group is named The Green Mountain Boys, of which I am the leader. I, Ethan Allen, am leading these men into war, because we, the people, need this freedom, we can earn if we go to war.
As an American Colonist, going to war is the best idea, because of property, liberty, and freedom.
We, the people, should be able to own our own land or property. For example, a letter I wrote to Colonel Stephen Bradley of Westminster:
“Sir: I have lately arrived at my new farm of 1400 acres in one body, in which are 350 acres of choice river intervale, a quantity of swales and rich upland meadow, interspersed with the finest of wheat land and pasture land well watered and is by nature equal to any tract of land of the same number of acres that I ever saw. I have put forty acres under improvement. The country settles fast and I wish that you were well settled in it. Little is said about philosophy here: our talk is of bullocks and our glory is in the gad. We mind earthly things.” Also, Article 2 continues to make private property submissively to public uses “when necessity requires it” - but adds whenever private property is taken away, the public has a requirement to pay the owner back, “an equivalent in money.” This is the first written constitution in the world to require just compensation of the public taking someone’s private property.
Liberty is a total different subject, of which I have my thoughts on too. "Ever since I arrived to a state of manhood, I have felt a sincere passion for liberty. The history of nations doomed to perpetual slavery, in consequence of yielding up to tyrants their natural born liberties, I read with a sort of philosophical horror; so that the first systematical and bloody attempt at Lexington, to enslave America, thoroughly electrified my mind, and fully determined me to take part with my country." My thoughts on liberty can change the way someone sees America’s liberty rights. It is true, since the beginning of manhood, liberty has always been a very important matter to me.
Freedom is an important subject in this world. Having freedom can finally separate America from the British and the rest of the world. Living in a total different “world” than the British, can do astounding things to America, like having less slavery, owning your own land, and not having different rules because of skin color, race, or creed. Freedom is an astonishing thing, believe it or not, freedom will change America forever. If we have the Revolutionary War, and win, freedom can and will come upon the people of America.
In essence, the three things, freedom, liberty, and property, are prominent things to add to America. This country could really use more freedom, liberty, and property. Freedom can give us so many things; for example, having a job you are good at, or like, rather than based on your last name. Liberty can give us the right to choose and make decisions based on my values as an individual. Along with my decisions, i am responsible for all of my actions. Lastly, property can let me, and you, own your own land, homes, have your own family, and own items, you could not own right now. My point here is, to try and get you all to understand and comprehend that having the war to occur can set America apart from the British, and allow us to be free, have liberty, and own property. The Revolutionary War can change America forever.

I am James Wilson I was born in Scotland in 1742 I was the starter of the Scottish enlightenment. I attended many universities but I did not get a degree, I emigrated to America and came with letters of introductions which gave me my first job I became tutor and teacher in Philadelphia college. While there I petitioned for a degree. A few years later I was elected a member of the committee of Correspondence, I saw how parliament was giving the us laws with no authority so I wrote a book called “Consideration on the Nature and Extent of the Legislative Authority of the British Parliament.” In 1775 I was elected Continental Congress where I became a radical member where we demand the separation from Britain.
It is utterly absurd how the British is acting on the people, declaring war to England would give the people freedom, independence, and keep us separated. I challenged parliament because it had no authority to pass laws throughout the colonies. “He wrote an essay with the title:" Considerations on the Nature and Extent of the Legislative Authority of the British Government." Biography of James Wilson. Signing the Declaration of Independence gave Philadelphia more independence, although I signed the Declaration but I hesitated because some people differed about being more independence. “According to sources, it seems he hesitated at first, but signed anyway. This was due to the fact that he was a representative of the Middle States, where opinions about Independence differed,” Biography of James Wilson. Helping the colonies would make alliances against England which would support us if there is a threat between one of the colonies. “To avoid the clamor among his frontier constituents, he repaired to Annapolis during the winter of 1777-78 and then took up residence in Philadelphia,” James Wilson. In conclusion, these are the benefits for becoming a democracy and leave the clutches of King Charles.

George Read was born on September 18, 1733 and died September 21, 1798, 3 days after his 66th birthday. George Read was a former American senate member, President of Delaware, and a signer of the Declaration Of Independence.

I was against the Stamp Act, and I was the only signer of the Declaration of Independence to be against Independence then, I finally signed the Declaration of Independence. I was a former American senate member, President of Delaware.In 1753 I passed the bar exam in Pennsylvania. I journeyed back to New Castle. I was the author of the first constitution in 1776. After the signing of the Declaration of Independence, I was elected to the Delaware Constitutional committee. They were in charge of drafting a Constitution for their new state. After I was elected to the committee, I was voted President, and they produced the Delaware Constitution in 1776. After that, George served in different political roles in Delaware until 1782, then he served in national political circles until he died on September 21, 1798. George Read was a lawyer, Delaware Congressman, and signer of the Declaration of Independence. He was a servant to the United States for almost all of his adult life, and he was one of our founding fathers.

My name is Mercy Otis Warren. I have experience in many professions, one of them being as a teacher. However, later on in my life, I dedicated myself to writing. I have written many plays and poems mocking the British Crown. In the most technical sense, I am a passive terrorist. If we truly must have this war, I will go on to write the history of the American Revolution. Perhaps, when I write this, generations ahead of us will not be so foolish as to go to war.
I am able to speak about such an important topic of whether or not to go to war because I am a level-headed, neutral party. I may be a colonist of the Americas, but this does not mean I fully support every choice the patriots have made.
We should go to war in order to rid ourselves of these Redcoats, to maintain the peace of our homeland and to send a message to the other countries in Europe.
First and foremost, the Redcoats are currently terrorizing our nation in an attempt to force us to pay what the King believes we owe him, but we do not owe him a cent. The colonies never agreed to pay the King for his help in the French and Indian War. These conflicting ideas climaxed with the Boston Massacre. Many of our states believe the Boston Massacre was entirely the Redcoats fault, but there was idiocy on both sides. The Redcoats want to be in Britain again just as much as we would like them to be gone. There were faults on both sides, but if we continue to fire shots at the Redcoats, any potential ally we could have had with them will be lost.
Secondly, the Americas are still quite a young settlement, not even a proper country or territory quite yet. Our families have only lived here for three generations at the very most, and if we decide to revolt, many of our children and husbands could be dead in near time. The future of this infant nation, the next generation, could be dead because of a war which could have been easily avoided. Much of the hard work our ancestors put into this land will be lost. Is a bloodbath of ignorant men truly a war of freedom or a battle between two groups too prideful?
Finally, there are many nations which still have oppressed their citizens to the point where their only right is to obey “god-sent” leaders.Because of this, Europe is almost always in a state of war at the moment; however, if we wish to become a more civilized, wiser society, then we must find a way to solve our taxation problems without spilling more blood than we already have. Otherwise, society will continue to resort to their barbaric instincts. We do not have to kill each other. Our men do not have to die. Wives do not have to lose their husbands nor do children have to lose their fathers.
War is the most unnecessary struggle we can possibly go through. The Redcoats can help us, and we can help them in return.
